Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master in steel
1.3 mil serial number circa 1965
Excellent vintage condition case has very thick lugs and crown guards with chamfered edges. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is matte MK1 “Long E” in excellent condition. This serial number range watch would originally come with gilt dial, so this could be an early service replacement. Nevertheless, it is an original MK1 dial, not luminova service replacement, with nice cream patina on all plots. The hours, minute, and seconds hands appear to have been painted white in past. Original “hook 7” date disk.
Bezel insert is in excellent condition.
Caseback is original, stamped 1675 and II.65 inside.
Watch comes on vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
No box or papers. Watch winds and runs well.
