Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master in steel
3.3 mil serial number circa 1972 production
Excellent vintage condition case with very thick and even lugs. Original bevels are clearly visible. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact. No corrosion or pitting.
Dial is original, matte and tritium with very light cream patina on plots. All luminous material is intact. Dial is very clean and free of corrosion, chips, scratches, or other damage. Hands are original, tritium. Correct and original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bracelet is original to the watch. It is a Rolex USA C&I rivet bracelet. Stamped 1-73 which is appropriate and also makes sense because the papers were signed at a USA AD.
Bezel is in excellent vintage condition. Very nicely faded fat font insert.
Caseback is correct and original. Stamped 1675 and II.72 inside
Watch comes as an original set, not put together with random booklets and boxes. The box is original Rolex racing stripe. The box still contains a sticker from AD with SKU number and brief description handwritten on it. Manual is in excellent condition and carries a print date which is appropriate to watch’s production year. Hang tags are original, one is GMT-Master specific with matching serial number to the papers and watch itself. Warranty papers are roll punched with correct and matching serial number. It comes with everything you see in pictures.
This watch has been purchased from a retired commercial pilot down in Florida. As he is getting older, his kids had no interest in the watch and he didn’t wear it much himself. This watch watch purchase from him directly and has made its way up to me past a couple of collectors/flippers.
